Bison Burgers with Brie, Caramelized Onions and Haskap Jam Recipe

Looking for a way to switch up the way you cook your burgers? Try making these mouth-watering Bison Burgers with Brie, Caramelized Onions and Haskap Jam!

Ingredients:

  • 4 Pioneer Bison Burger patties
  • Preserved Haskap Jam
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1.5 onions
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • Brie cheese

Cooking steps:

Step 1- Heat 1 tbsp of butter and olive oil over medium heat.

Step 2- Add 1.5 chopped onions to the pan and coat in butter & oil.

Step 3- Stir every 5 minutes.

Step 4- After 15 minutes, add 1 tsp of salt and 1 tsp of sugar.

Step 5- Stir every 5 minutes until onions are caramelized (about 30 minutes total)

Step 6- While the onions are caramelizing, add burgers to the barbeque at medium-high to high heat.

Step 7- Once burgers are just about cooked, add brie and let it melt for 2 minutes.

Step 8- Top burgers with caramelized onions and Haskap Jam

Step 9- Enjoy!
