How to Cook an Australian Wagyu Steak in 6 Easy Steps

Looking to entertain this summer, but not sure where to start? Wagyu steak is a tender, mouth-watering and flavourful meat sure to impress your guests. Wagyu steak is considered the best beef on the planet because of its marbled texture. Did you know that wagyu beef has a higher percentage of omega-3, omega-6 and more monounsaturated fats than other beef?

Below are 6 easy steps to help you cook the perfect Australian Wagyu Steak:

Step 1– Pull the striploin out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to ensure it is room temperature.  Season it with salt & pepper.

Step 2– Turn the stove burner on high and warm up your skillet. Add a little bit of oil (if applicable) to the pan.

Step 3– Place the meat in the middle of the pan and cook it for 30 seconds. Flip it and cook the other side for 30 seconds.

Step 4– Bring the temperature down to medium and cook the steak for 2 minutes on each side again.

Step 5– For 1 minute, baste the steak in its own juices for maximum flavour.

Step 6– Remove the steak from the pan and wrap it in tinfoil for 10 minutes. After the 10 minutes, remove it from the tinfoil and slice it to serve.
